I think my biggest struggle with this story is that every dramatic happening is glossed over. Nothing is explained. Nothing is detailed. I wasn't able to get invested in the story or characters. Without putting any spoilers in this review, the only way I can explain it is when very serious, life changing things happen, I didn't feel for the characters. Even the intimate scenes that are in this book are glossed over. I felt no sorrow, passion or happiness with the characters. I am a "visual" reader and am able to play the story in my head as I read but I couldn't do that with this story. There was no real connection for me.Product details

OMG I couldn't put this series down. There is love an heart ache an There is love an strength in all of this. I recommend this story to anyone that love to be pulled into the story an feel like your part of the story. Loved this book. I could feel every emotion in this story. Wrenn had lot of ups an down. She was a very strong woman. She just did know how strong. Life has a funny way of showing us just how strong we are an Wrenn was put to the test over an over again. I would love to read more of this series.
This book will take you on quite an emotional journey. There are moments of great joy and intense pain and devastation. You go on a journey with a young woman who has a painful past and is trying to get her future on track. As she makes progress in her journey, she regularly faces great challenges. I won't forget the character of Wren. She is incredibly strong and caring and really makes a difference on the lives of the people she encounters. There are so many surprises on the journey and I in way want to ruin it for another reader so I am not going to go in more detail on the story.
It is an emotional read that really connected to me. We all face challenges in our lives and there is a true beauty in surviving them. I laughed and cried as I went on this journey with Wren.

Wow! Such an emotional journey full of ups and downs! I went through the entire gamut of emotions. I laughed! I cried! I was jealous! Wrenn had such a difficult life! Her father was physically abused her when he found out she was seeing Stephan. Her mother never knew about this because Wrenn never told her & her father passed away. Thanks to the local doctor, Wrenn is able to move away & go to college. Wrenn has embarked on a journey that will lead her to pain, heartbreak and her greatest joy.
What a lucky woman! She survived her dad's abuse and made something of her self. She had two terrific men fall in love with her. She had support from strangers to enable her to continue her path. Abbie was able to bring us completely into the story & not let us go. I sat down to read a chapter and read the entire book. This was such an emotional griping story! I was enthralled from the first. Love, Love this one!!
What can I say, besides the fact that I am in love with this author and, specifically, this book? Spell bound. Yes, it was a tear-jerker at times, had me furious at some of the characters at times, but when I find myself transported into another place so thoroughly, I know, you know. It's like the author wrote this book just for me. Don't let this review keep you from reading it. It's a suspended, romantic, sexy novel, and I am so ready for more!
Wow, beautiful, novel. Wren's story started out as a young girl struggling to let go of past, hurtful memories, build new life, things look up, expanding horizon's, meets a helpful stranger, AD. Falls for old boyfriend, then unthinkable happens, she tries to rebuild her life, then Dane enters the picture, and sparks fly. But of course not without hurt, misread opinions, love, definitely a great read!!!
This was an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. Everything that Wren's went through makes for one of the strongest characters that I have read about to date. This book will draw you in so deeply that you will lose sense of time and of your surroundings. I cried at how much Wren suffered but after the darkness came the light and she comes out stronger for all that pain. I recommend you read this or any other books y Abbie St. Claire she is an amazing story teller
